The pumping mode of concrete pump is horizontal pumping and high pumping. Here we introduce the precautions of these two pumping methods.
Horizontal pumping
Concrete pipe layout precautions of horizontal pumping: the pipe should be as smooth as possible, the pipe can only use soft objects such as wood and pipe support, each pipe should have one or two solid fulcrum. Pipe fittings should avoid direct friction with rocks, concrete buildings and steel. When arranging the horizontal pipe, the static pump should be in a slightly lower position, and the pipe should be slightly upward, which is the most favorable for pumping.
High pumping
When pumping concrete to the height, the vertical pipe is used in the raised section than the inclined pipe, which can reduce the length of the pipeline and the pumping pressure, but often due to various conditions, only the inclined pipe can be distributed.
The pipe pumped to the height should be:
- When the vertical height of the pump exceeds 10m, the converted length of the horizontal pipe part should be greater than 2/3 of the raised height.
If the inclination angle of the raised section is greater than 45°(inclined tube), it can be treated as a vertical tube; When the inclination is less than 45°, the horizontal section can be appropriately reduced, and the length of the horizontal section can also be replaced by a bend equivalent to the horizontal distance, but at the end of the cone behind the pump outlet, there must be at least 3 meters of horizontal straight pipe, and then the bend can be connected.
If the length of the horizontal section of the pipeline can not reach the specified value due to conditions, it can also be adjusted by other methods, such as properly reducing the slump of the concrete, when the slump is less than 10m, the length of the horizontal section can be arranged by 1/2 of the height of the rise. In addition, if the horizontal pipe between the pump and the raised section slopes slightly downward, the horizontal section can also be shortened appropriately.
- When the pumping height is more than 20m, a stop valve should be installed on the horizontal pipe at the lower part of the raised section to prevent concrete backflow.
- When the vertical pipe is used in the lifting section, a bend pipe with a supporting seat should be installed at the bottom of the vertical pipe. If the raised section is a inclined pipe, the inclined pipe should be partially fixed to prevent the inclined pipe from slipping downward during pumping. In the case that the inclined pipe is difficult to fix, the horizontal pipe or bend pipe above and below the inclined pipe must be fixed.
- The horizontal swing of the vertical pipe is dangerous, so to fix the vertical pipe with the adjacent building, such as less than 15m, when the vertical pipe is fixed and difficult, only the upper and lower parts of the vertical pipe can be fixed.
- Downhill pumping pipeline layout: downhill pumping, due to the different inclination of the pipeline, the concrete may slide due to its own weight, which may make the concrete segregation, and it is easy to form a cavity in the upper part of the inclined pipe, resulting in air blockage, according to whether the concrete can be completely self-flowing and non-self-flowing, divided into three types:
Concrete does not flow:
The inclination of the pipeline is less than 4°, or in the range of 4°to 7°, and the slump of the concrete is low, generally do not take other measures.
Concrete complete artesian flow
When the inclination of the pipe is greater than 15° and the inclined pipe is straight to the pouring point, the concrete can flow out completely without taking other measures.
The case of incomplete concrete flow:
The inclination angle of the pipeline is greater than 70, there are horizontal pipes or other pipe fittings under the inclined pipe, the concrete can flow in the inclined pipe section, but it is stuck in the lower part, this situation is very unfavorable to pumping, the following measures can be taken:
- Increase the resistance of the lower part of the inclined pipe, such as connecting a horizontal pipe with a total length equivalent to more than 5 times the drop of the inclined pipe section at the lower part of the inclined pipe, or using a bend pipe of equivalent length; It is also possible to connect a section of pipe at the end of the inclined pipe with an upward tilt; It is also possible to attach a hose to the end of the inclined pipe and adjust the flow rate with a clasp.
- Install an exhaust valve on the bend at the upper end of the inclined pipe. When the pump is turned on again after the pumping is interrupted, the air in the pipe is discharged.
Concrete pumps are commonly used equipment in the construction industry, and the types of pump are very complete. Different concrete pumps can meet different needs. In the purchase of concrete pumps, because you should choose the equipment suitable for configuration according to your own situation.
